A great opportunity to visit commercial wind-diesel projects in Alaska will be provided on Saturday, March 12, 2011, and Sunday, March 13, 2011, through two independent field trips to remote communities. Participants will tour the wind-diesel plants and talk with local operators and village leaders about the operations and value of retrofitting diesel mini-grids with wind turbines and associated controls.
