DOE Wind Workforce and Education Activities Update: A Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach Webinar

National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Senior Energy Analyst Suzanne Tegen provided a summary of the domestic wind workforce report published by NREL in 2013, including results from a survey of more than 400 wind industry companies: job types, training requirements, and what must happen in the United States for the wind industry workforce to achieve 20% wind by 2030.

NREL Project Leader Julie Jones provided an update on the DOE Collegiate Wind Competition, which will take place in the spring. NREL Wind and Water Technology Deployment Manager Ian Baring-Gould provided a quick update on the Wind for Schools project, which is no longer funded by DOE.
