USDA Announces Funding for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Projects

On August 15, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced 2013 Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) funding for 631 projects across the nation that will help agricultural producers and rural small businesses reduce their energy consumption and costs, use renewable energy technologies in their operations, and conduct feasibility studies for renewable energy projects. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) administers REAP and the resulting grants and loans; see the project list for grants and loans and the project list for feasibility studies.
