Wind Powering America Updates Anemometer Loan Project Map

Wind Powering America Updates Anemometer Loan Project Map

Date: 6/5/2012

Wind Powering America posted updates to its interactive map of anemometer loan projects. Reports and/or data are available for 50 projects. Wind Powering America publishes wind data collected from its Native American anemometer loan program and the Western Area Power Administration's anemometer loan program. For most sites, data consist of wind speed and direction data collected at a height of 20 meters (66 feet). For a handful of locations, data were collected from multiple heights using taller towers. The notes for each location provide details on the instrument configuration.
