Discussion:

Jay Cashman Inc., subsidiary Patriot Renewables, continues to push forward with the South Coast Offshore Wind Project located in Buzzard's Bay. What was initially planned as a 300-MW project has since been reduced due to a determination that the Fairhaven portion of the proposed siting area would not support development and a similar concern that the Dartmouth portion may not pass muster due to local opposition and other environmental, social, and economic factors. The remaining, viable project area is off Elizabeth Island and would likely support approximately 40-60 turbines. Project developers are currently waiting for the completion of the Ocean Management Act report before determining how best to proceed. The project continues to navigate both state and federal permitting processes.
