Discussion:

The proposed expansion of the existing Searsburg Wind Farm into the Green Mountain National Forest — Deerfield Wind Energy Project developed by Iberdrola — continues to seek permits. Although the permitting process has been slow, the U.S. Forest Service has released a draft Environmental Impact Statement which is a major milestone for the project. The target date for the project continues to be late 2009.
