Wind Powering America is a nationwide initiative of the U.S. Department of Energy's Wind Program designed to educate, engage, and enable critical stakeholders to make informed decisions about how wind energy contributes to the U.S. electricity supply. State-by-state breakdowns of wind resource potential, success stories, installed wind capacity, news, events, and other resources are updated regularly.
The biweekly Wind Powering America Newsletter informs partners and stakeholders of events and Webinars, financial opportunities, new publications, state successes, and other program activities.
Wind Powering America shares best practices and lessons learned.
Wind Powering America hosts a series of webinars on current wind energy issues.
Wind for Schools installs small wind turbines at rural elementary and secondary schools and develops Wind Application Centers at higher education institutions.
