The U.S. Department of Energy Wind Powering America initiative provided the Utah Energy Office with 15 anemometers, wind measuring devices, to determine the wind resources in Utah. These anemometers are loaned to businesses, developers, farmers, ranchers, and homeowners to determine if there is enough wind energy to invest in a wind turbine. The website includes background and program description, map location of towers, and an online application process.
