NREL analysts worked with authors from Exeter Associates to publish "The Relevance of Generation Interconnection Procedures to Feed-in Tariffs in the United States." Due in part to the success of feed-in tariff policies in Europe, some U.S. jurisdictions are considering implementing similar policies, and a few have already adopted such policies. This report offers guidance to policymakers and regulators on how generator interconnection procedures may affect the implementation of feed-in tariffs in the United States, including model procedures and best practices.
