The 36 turbine wind farm will increase wind energy generation in Nebraska by a factor of six. The wind farm will produce about 60 megawatts of energy, which is enough electricity to supply about 19,000 homes each year. The wind farm not only reduces mercury emissions from coal-fired power plants, but it keeps the money within the state and provides rent payments to the farmers.
