Drive a Wind Power Trail Tour through Texas and Oklahoma

The Wind Power Trail is an interpretive driving loop that takes you to commercial wind farms, vintage windmill collections, and interesting waypoints along the highways and backroads of Texas and Oklahoma. The trail was under construction in 2005 and plans were to have an interpretive driving map, an audio CD, and an informational website. The goals of the project were:
- Bring visitors to rural and urban High Plains communities
- Educate people about wind energy
- Educate people about vintage windmills and pioneer history
The Wind Power Trail includes four stops: Boise City, Guymon, Shattuck, and Woodward. The official trail website is no longer available.
